No será hasta el 14 de marzo de 2014 cuando llegará a la gran pantalla la nueva animación de DreamWorks, pero ya tenemos un adelanto del artwork de la película 'Me and my shadow'.
La cinta contará con las voces de Josh Gad (Amor y otras drogas, 21: Blackjack), Bill Hader (Men in Black 3) y Kate Hudson (Casi famosos, La llave dle mal, Nine).
El estudio ha mandado, junto a la primera imagen del artwork, el siguiente comunicado:
When recently asked about traditional hand drawn animation, DreamWorks Animation Chief Creative Officer Bill Damaschke spoke about the hybrid animation in "Me and My Shadow".
He stated, "Me and My Shadow, which is out in spring of 2014, is a combination of CG and traditional hand drawn animation. There is a reason to tell the story in that fashion. It's about what would happen if your shadow, that has been following you around and basically just follows what you do your whole life, just stood up and took over. The shadows will be animated hand drawn, and the other characters will be CG animated. There is a reason to do it [hand drawn animation] that felt creatively interesting."
SINOPSIS:
Me and my shadow cuenta la historia de las sombras y sus homólogos humanos. Stan, la sombra de nuestro héroe, anhela una vida más emocionante, pero pasa a estar pegado a Stanley Grubb, un chico tímido con una extrema aversión a la aventura.
Un crimen en el mundo de las sombras pondrá en peligro a Stanley, y Stan (la sombra) se verá obligado a romper las reglas que rigen su universo y tomará le control de Stanley. Comenzarán así a vivir una alocala aventura para investigar el crimen y detener a la sombra malvada, líder de la rebelión del 'Mundo de las sombras' que tratará de apoderarse del mundo humano.
Durante este emocionante episodio, Stan facultará a Stanley para dejar de lado sus miedos y abrazar la vida. A través de su aventura, ambos aprenden que uno no puede estar completo sin un verdadero amigo.
